The expedition has two principal aims:1) to travel
around the planet as much as possible by bicycle. 2) to raise awareness
and funds for the charity ITDG to find practical answers to poverty. The journey:
2 and a half years 4 continents 36,110km cycled 2,000 nautical miles sailed (3,700km) 23 countries
(UK, France, Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia & Montenegro
(then Yugoslavia), Bulgaria, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, India, Nepal, Tibet,
China, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, East Timor, Australia,
New Zealand, Canada).
Currently: Finished! Together with my wonderful girlfriend Cathy in Vancouver, Canada. Writing the book of the adventure.A short story from the journey has been published by Lonely Planet in an anthology of travel stories called By the Seat of My Pants.
